Our client, a leading financial services firm, has an excellent opportunity for a Projects Manager to join their team in Edinburgh for 12 month fixed term contract.

The role holder will provide a project management service to the finance department, motivating staff within the team, providing accounts expertise and support across the wider group.

Responsibilities will include monitoring and further developing the departmental processes and procedures, including ownership of the procedures manual, risk Maps and KPIs. You will also be required to undertake ad hoc processes or systems analysis, producing recommendations for change as required and to assist in implementing resulting short and medium term changes, contributing to process reviews. In addition, you will provide cover and additional support to senior staff members as required.

Candidates must have business projects or portfolio management experience within financial services at qualified accountant level. You should have experience of process and controls development and monitoring and be computer literate. The ability to manage and maintain progress on multiple projects is essential, as is discretion, reliability and strong analysis and problem solving skills. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing across all levels in the business, whilst demonstrating a flexible and pragmatic approach.
