Our client is a leading UK investment banking group which specialises in equity capital market activities and investment management in alternative assets. They are now recruiting an Investment Director who has a proven track record of successfully managing discretionary and advisory portfolios.


The investment director will manage and work closely with others on the team including investment managers and investment assistants but is also an integral member of the investment team. The investment director has three main roles: research and analytical work, portfolio management while managing client relationships. The investment director is responsible for the management of the portfolios of up to, typically, 100 client relationships mainly private but also may include pension funds and other specialist mandates.


The investment director must, at all times, endeavour to provide an exceptional level of personal service to clients.


Extensive relevant industry experience is vital. The investment director will possess a general understanding of the world economy and world markets, and how the UK investment community works. A general knowledge of personal taxation rules and investments that optimise client's individual tax positions and circumstances is also required.
