A leading global investment bank is looking to recruit a Middle Office Analyst to work in their London based office.

The role of the Middle Office is to provide support and independent control over the activities of the Front office in the execution of their deals. The middle office teams, whilst supporting very separate trading streams, work as a unit and share job roles and responsibilities across products. Some key activities include:

* Provide support to two distinct and growing businesses, including helping to price operating costs and coordinate across internal teams any pipeline structure. Operations are often involved in the business pitches to clients
* Define and implement procedures, processes and controls to support the business
* Police accurate reflection of risk, based on contract/termsheet review
* Involvement in cashflow management, collateral and PV reconciliation
* Daily coordination with Brokers to verify trade activity & premiums

The successful candidate will initially support either the reinsurance or pensions business, liaising closely with the Front Office and reporting into their Middle Office line manager. They will immediately interface with settlement, documentation, treasury, collateral, credit, compliance, controllers, corporate accounting and technology teams. Key deliverables will include good operational knowledge of the product lifecycle and subsequent system flows, a strong handle on what is traded within that risk stripe and how to mitigate the risk of errors in the process.
