Client Director
- City of London GBP75,000 p/a Permanent
Main purpose of role is as follows:
Responsible for building a relationship with, providing a service to, and managing the expectations of a portfolio of clients, on a day-to-day basis.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Account Management
Act as the contact for a dedicated client (or a portfolio of accounts) to ensure client needs and expectations are met, including providing the client with access to all Aon Limited resources and products. Prepare client plans and co-ordinate the overall end-to-end service delivery to agreed standards.
Renewal, Retention and Growth of Existing Accounts
Manage renewal, retention and growth of existing accounts by establishing client needs, in conjunction with other team members, maintaining client relationships, converting additional business opportunities and co-coordinating the overall renewal process and ongoing service needs.
New business development (prospecting)
Initiate and close new business opportunities from potential new clients, network and manage client relationships within and outside the group.
Account Development
Ensure service delivery to agreed standards for a portfolio of prospects; act as the focal point of contact for prospects up to receipt of quotation from market
Contract Definition (Coverage Design)
Analyse clients' coverage needs, collect and analyse relevant information to identify risk transfer solutions.
Coverage advice
Provide advice to clients and colleagues on the scope of coverage available for different products to establish the appropriate product that meets the clients' coverage needs.
Quality control of coverage design
Review and quality check insurance documentation at a pre-determined stage in the process to establish whether the selected product accurately reflects clients' coverage requirements.
Debroke, technical and quality check
Ensure a full technical and quality check has been completed on all work. Liaise with colleagues on any issues arising.
Preparation of (re)insurance documentation
Produce all (re)insurance documentation for negotiation and confirmation of coverage (does not include invoicing, closing or preparation of insurer policies but includes co-ordination of timely delivery of documentation to the client).
Service co-ordination
Work with other professionals on an individual account or a portfolio of accounts to ensure that relevant information is shared among appropriate individuals and required actions are taken to meet clients' needs.
Programme design (marketing strategy)
Identify appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients' market security guidelines and other requirements.
Contract negotiation with lead underwriters
Negotiate terms and conditions of placement with lead underwriters, obtain quotes, handle underwriter queries and requests for information.
Contract negotiation with support underwriters
Ensure complete placement by negotiating with support underwriters, handle underwriter queries and requests for information.
Market relationship management
Create, maintain and manage long-term business relationships with underwriters to enhance service delivery, establish new opportunities for risk placement or facilitate the settlement and payment of claims.
Market advice
Provide advice to clients and colleagues on market developments and share knowledge of market trends to enhance the overall value proposition.
Wording negotiation (individual accounts)
Negotiate bespoke or manuscript wordings with underwriters for individual accounts
Facility negotiation
Negotiate or assist in negotiation of terms and conditions for a facility with underwriters, including the negotiation of facility wordings.
