• EMEA Rates Book Runner, London

Our client is a leading Global Financial Services firm with operations in more than 50 countries who currently seek a Rates Book Runner to join their London Office.

The central responsibilities of a Book Runner are:
* Accurately review / capture of all transactions in the risk management systems (IRFE / Kapital)
* Understand, produce and explain daily valuations, P&L, Risk and Positions across all books
* First point of contact for FO on all Risk, PnL and trade management issues as well as liaison point for other groups (e.g. Collateral, Credit, IBOD, Financial, Market Risk, Finance, FO Business Management)
* Trade life-cycle processing and management (exercises, unwinds, positions, analysis etc)
* Provide additional trade, risk, PnL reporting for traders (e.g. Refix Impact, Market move, Carry, P&L Scenarios, etc)
* Perform key controls to ensure accuracy and compliance of our business and trading activity
* Manage projects and initiatives related to all of the above as well as larger cross-business programmes
* Be an active and engaged team member, proactive with ideas and driving through business change / improvements


To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of derivatives, risk and financial markets, understands the difference between predict and actual methodologies, can explain the Greeks and their role in PnL Disaggregation along with strong technology and numeracy skills along with understanding of risk types - Market (positions), operational, settlement, credit, legal and reputational.
