• Product Controller

• City of London GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 p/a Permanent

An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Product Controller to join the Business Area Controlling (BAC) team at a mid-tier and rapidly expanding European Investment House, producing accurate and timely P&L reports for a variety of asset classes (Derivatives on IR, FX, FI, Equity and Commodities) that meet daily and monthly as well as quarterly reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities Include:
* Working as part of the P&L team and reporting directly to Director level, the individual will be accountable for a given set of trading books and tasked with producing a fully signed off (by Trading Desk) set of ledger reconciled P&L's
* This role necessitates a profound understanding of the products being reported on and training on this will be given where appropriate
* Gain in depth Product understanding on a number of different trade types and asset classes as well as the opportunity to participate in defining strategies for improvements in existing workflows


To be considered for this role the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Product Control along with strong product knowledge in one or more asset classes. Commodity and Equity derivative exposure would be highly desirable, as is familiarity with the key accounting concepts of IFRS is required as is a track record in analysis and reconciliation of the P&L and a general ledger level.
