• Controls Analyst, Finance Change

• City of London GBP300 - GBP400 day Interim

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Controls Analyst to join an ambitious multi-year initiative sponsored by the banks finance division, with visibility at Board level. It is the largest and most ambitious Programme the firm has embarked upon and involves multi disciplinary teams, including Finance, IT and Risk & Global Business Services.

The Programme provides finance, IT, risk and operations professionals the opportunity to deliver fundamental change in the way financial reporting risk is managed across the Bank.

Responsibilities of this particular team:

* Deliver significant reductions in the number and size of manual interventions by Finance staff and in the number of Finance systems through the application of lean process engineering methodology
* Provide the core metrics for the programme, including the allocation of targets to the other work streams and subsequent monitoring of progress towards these targets
* Develop an overall process map for financial reporting and oversight of the process engineering work performed by the other work streams in order to enforce use of a standard methodology and ensure consistency and connectivity

You will:

* Refine and manage the controls implementation
* Develop stakeholder communication material and engage stakeholders
* Plan roll out of controls in Q1 and Q2
* Develop governance processes and appropriate tracking mechanisms
* Refine controls as required

The successful applicant will possess a strong background in IT controls definition and implementation and a strong project management capability gained from another investment banking environment. Very good stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills are essential. Experience as an IT Auditor would be advantageous.
