• Operational Risk Manager

• City of London GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 p/a Permanent

An exciting role for an Operational Risk Manager has arisen within this Global Investment Manager supporting the Annual Risk and Compliance Plan by delivering high quality reviews which add value to the business.

Responsibilities Include:
* Assist with the delivery of the Annual Risk and Compliance Plan
* Take responsibility for delivering specific risk reviews as part of the overall risk review cycle and present findings to the Risk Committee when appropriate
* Undertake reviews of emerging risks as directed by the Risk Committee
* Project manage and implement new initiatives as agreed with the Manager of Risk Management and Compliance
* Deliver accurate and concise risk reports to internal stakeholders
* Timely escalation of emerging risks and issues
* Co-ordination of Risk Committee reporting
* Keep up to date with industry best practice
* Perform Risk Co-ordinator role and build relationships with Central Risk & other departments
* Co-ordination of SOX testing


To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have strong operational risk experience, an understanding of financial products and be able to communicate at all levels including proven stakeholder management skills. In addition you will have the ability to identify issues and develop solutions as well as the confidence to challenge business areas and senior management in an effective and professional manner.
