• Performance Analyst

• City of London GBP20.00 - GBP25.00 p/hr Temporary

This excellent opportunity for a Performance Analyst has arisen within a Top Tier asset manager.

The performance team is responsible for the calculation and analysis of all discretionary portfolios, ranging from private client portfolios to institutional pension, and retail products.

The department's main objective is to examine how investment decisions have impacted the performance of their portfolios and to report to fund managers and client services.

Responsibilities for the role include:

- To calculate and analyse fund returns and ex post risk measures.

- Regular analysis to include return comparisons against composite benchmarks, attribution down to stock level, as well as various ad hoc requests from fund management personnel as well as client services.

- To be able to communicate in-depth analysis to fund managers and client services in a clear and concise fashion.

- Further development of PACE (the software used to analyse fund performance) and enhancing the current analysis provided by the team.

- To critique the fund data coming into the performance system from the accounting system (Quasar) to ensure that performance calculations are accurate.


Ideally you will have:

- Knowledge of investment management and portfolio construction required.

- Numerically competent, with good communication skills required as explaining analytical reports to fund managers and client services will form a large part of the role.

- Applicants must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for systems, and have an excellent working knowledge of Excel.

- The ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high level or accuracy is required.
