Leading investment bank seeks to hire an experienced Income Analyst to join a busy team

The department will comprise dividend/tax specialists and also corporate action specialists who will report into a line manager. Each specialist will be required to provide cover during staff absence and absorb additional work during peak dividend and corporate action season. It is therefore beneficial for candidates to have a good understanding of other elements of Asset Servicing besides their specific area of expertise.

Duties will include:

· Responsibility for resolving all P&L reconciliation breaks arising from dividend entitlement postings to internal cash ledger and trading systems
· Responsibility for monitoring Nostro reconciliations to ensure resolution of breaks
· Responsibility for regularly reviewing all unsettled dividend entitlement claims and escalating where appropriate.
· Responsibility for the withholding tax refund service
· Responsibility for the maintenance of all procedure documents and production of new documents when required.
· Monitoring new markets and changes to existing market practises and notifying interested company departments i.e Tax, Front Office, Settlements
· Identifying system enhancements/requirements and participating in the required analysis, development and testing
· Participation in projects where Asset Servicing knowledge is required

Candidate Profile

Essential
· GCSE standard or equivalent
· Experience gained within an investment banking background and experience of dividends processing
· Experience of manufactured overseas dividends and tax would be beneficial
· Exposure to global markets
· Exposure to a variety of products
· Good technical skills to include Excel/Word applications
· Strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels
· Strong organisation and prioritisation skills - ability to manage high volumes of work, organising a large number of diverse tasks whilst managing deadlines
· Self motivated and flexible with ability to work well within a wider team
· Adaptability

Desirable
· A Level standard or equivalent
· Some corporate actions experience would be beneficial
· Ability to challenge self and others to develop existing services and anticipate future requirements
