• Operational Risk Manager

• City of London GBP50,000 - GBP65,000 p/a Permanent

This excellent opportunity for an Operational Risk Manager has arisen within this highly respected Top Tier Bank.

Responsibilities include:
* Act as a trusted partner to Leadership teams, supporting them in the identification, assessment, management and reporting of their operational risks.
* Support management in identifying and implementing appropriate mitigating actions to address control issues, internal/external audit findings and other control weaknesses.
* Ensure Group Functions have the processes, tools and methodologies to manage their risk profile
* Advise and support the Group Functions in defining appropriate controls and control monitoring/assurance activities
* Ensure management has a clear understanding of their Function's risk profile and their risk and control responsibilities
* Review/challenge management to ensure that their operational risk profile is being appropriately managed and reported
* Plan and execute conformance reviews across the business to ensure compliance with different elements of the group Operational Risk Framework


To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level with operational risk management experience, a good understanding of functional business processes, governance and control frameworks along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the potential to develop strong leadership skills.
