City based investment management house is seeking to recruit a sales manager for their European team.

Responsibilities will include :

To maintain and develop relationships predominantly with European banks, fund of funds, institutions and family offices. The product range to promote covers long funds, long/short hedge funds and long/short UCITS absolute return funds.
· Work with the sales team to target existing clients effectively in order to improve asset retentions and generate asset growth.
· Regular updating of key clients and prospects on fund performance and portfolio composition.
· Call clients to promote fund manager events e.g. Conference calls/conferences/trips.
· Work closely with the marketing team to build on our presence in the European market.
· Follow up with clients/prospects on all communication e.g. RFP requests, following client visits.
· Maintenance of credible management information (real time) and production of month end reports.
· To identify sales opportunities to aid the promotion of our fund range.

To achieve a target number of pro-active calls and meetings each week

Previous fund sales experience is essential
