• Programme Manager, Reference Data

• City of London GBP800 - GBP1,000 day Interim

Our client, one of the worlds leading investment banks, ins currently seeking to hire a high calibre Programme Manager who has previous, and recent, experience of working on large reference data initiatives.

This programme comprises of the initiation and completion of the build out of a revamped infrastructure for data management, subsequent distribution of data and the governance ownership model to manage and monitor the quality of the data. The Programme Managers role is to monitor the delivery, finance and correct prioritisation of the programme across the business and monitor, manage the governance structure in place to support and deliver the reference data programme.

This programmes senior stakeholder include Business Managers, Head of Desks and COO's and is seen as a vital component to the future development and growth of the bank. With this in mind, the success of this programme is seen as absolutely of paramount importance. The role will offer the successful applicant fantastic exposure to all areas of the business and the genuine opportunity to make a difference to the bank.

Due to the importance of the role a proven track record of project management and delivery within the space of Reference Data in the Investment banking industry is going to be essential.

You will need the following experience and skills:

* Be able to articulate the types of reference data (instrument, client, hierarchy, etc), understand the processes behind management or maintenance of static/reference data in applications
* Possess awareness of regulatory and standard bodies - legal entity registration, ISDA etc. and their historic and potential implications on reference data
Possess awareness of providers of reference data in the market place specific to instrument and market data services such as MarkIT, as well as awareness of market participant types - exchanges, custodians, agents, intermediaries etc.
* Have experience in the management of a "request for information" response proposal for the provision of (ideally data) services into an organisation. This would also extend into the subsequent recommendation process and planning of the implementation / transfer of services to the preferred supplier

In addition you will have a high-level understanding of key Investment Banking products e.g. Equities, Derivatives, Bonds, FX, Credit, Money Markets, Repos and ideally and in-depth knowledge of the front to back trade lifecycle, processes associated with financial markets and in particular, extensive exposure to Front to Back processing systems and processes.
