• Senior Compliance Monitoring & Testing Officer

This is a a tremendous oppurtunity to join the Monitoring & Testing team at a premier global
financial services firm.The role involves working with the Regional Monitoring and Testing Manager to develop the Corporate Monitoring and Testing Programme. You will be responsible for conducting and reporting of Monitoring and Testing reviews. The role may involve an amount of travel.

You will be tasked with the active management of monitoring and testing reviews throughout the region, providing oversight to Corporate or Business Unit Risk Management and Compliance staff as needed. You will assist the Regional Monitoring and Testing Manager with execution of the monitoring and testing programme, including plan status, targeted testing efforts for critical / high risk activities, and preparation of periodic reporting to summarise status of the program. You will be directly responsible for planning and executing individual reviews, identifying issues and underlying root-cause analysis. You will also develop recommended solutions and communicate findings effectively, both orally and in writing.

Working closely with the internal audit department to minimise duplication across business units will be an ongoing responsibility.

Knowledge/Skills
Highly motivated individual who has a proven record of using initiative to resolve problems
Proven experience related to monitoring/testing experience including operational risk expertise
Educated to graduate (or equivalent)
Detailed knowledge of FSA Handbook essential
Analytical ability to identify and understand problems as well as to provide effective solutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail
Confidence and expertise to advise management and the business
Ability to make decisions on their own and also to be a team player and effective communicator to ensure that issues are appropriately resolved
