Our client are a top tier investment bank based in London who currently seek an experienced individual to join their Global Banking and Markets department to be responsible for the following:

* To be proactive in the improvement of cash reconciliation controls contributing to the control design.
* To assist in the specification and UAT of new reconciliations in the Accounting Control environment.
* To ensure that all cash reconciliations are completed, breaks are investigated and resolved or allocated to relevant teams for follow up
* Manage the exception resolution process across teams to ensure visibility of ownership and prompt resolution
* To ensure that appropriate MI is produced for the tracking of both workload and the ageing of exceptions
* To ensure that all output is produced in a timely and accurate manner.
* Perform a complete review of all month end balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all items are fully substantiated paying particular attention to the age of the break and the business rationale for the balance
* Assist in increasing efficiency and controls through procedures/systems change process

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with either Banking previous or a strong newly qualified ACA looking for first step into Banking
