• Business Analyst, Product Control

• City of London GBP400 - GBP550 day Interim

Our client, one of the worlds leading investment banks, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst who possesses a strong product control and/or financial control background and sits within the Finance Re-engineering Group. This group is involved in projects covering the whole finance business.

A wide and diverse portfolio of projects has been initiated to support and further advance Finance's key roles of controlling, providing service and improving efficiency. To ensure the successful delivery of these projects the Finance Re-engineering Group, working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) in the line and with Finance Technology, provides project management and business analysis services.

This role will require the following experience:

* Proven track record in business analysis, including gathering and documenting user requirements
* Ability to translate business concepts and requirements into functional specifications
* A sound understanding of the project life cycle and familiarity with working according to a project plan
* Facility to progress and influence the decision making process
* Experience delivering technology solutions and working closely with IT and/or external software vendors
* Knowledge of financial products and an understanding of accounting principles
* Experience in and detailed understanding of the role and processes of the Finance function within an investment bank
* Good process mind - able to design Finance processes and/or work with Finance SMEs to document, validate or modify processes
* Ability to work collaboratively with the Finance line (SMEs), in addition to working across divisions, business lines and geography

You will possess a strong business analyst background and have proven experience of working within finance and product control project teams, especially from an investment banking environment.

You will be degree educated (or equivalent) and ideally possess and financial qualification.
