AVP Exotic Rates Product Control
City of London GBP60,000 - GBP70,000 p/a Permanent

Our client is a top tier investment bank who are currently seeking a AVP Exotic Rates Product Controller to join the Exotic Rates Product Control team in their London office.

The role has two dimensions:

1. Daily and month end Line PC responsibilities for the Inflation Trading business within European Exotic Rates; and

2. Supervisory responsibilities with two direct reports, covering a subset of the Risk Workout trading books within European Exotic Rates

The role involves
* Daily Production - Member of a team responsible for daily P+L production, which includes FOBO reconciliations
* Inventory Valuation & Control - Member of a team responsible for inventory valuation and control, which includes Price Testing, Model Validation,
* Monthly & Quarterly Production - Works independently on moderate complexity issues with deliverables and schedules set by others.
* Control Reporting - Where appropriate, ensure that work carried out under Service Level Agreements, including hand-offs with other groups, is clearly understood and issues promptly escalated via local line management.
* Supporting Change - Understand and apply escalation routes into Continuous Improvement or Strategic Change groups.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant prior product control experience in exotic and vanilla options interest rate products, specifically inflation-linked products along with a good understanding of derivatives valuation, price testing and trade flows
