Guideline Analyst
- City of London £250 - £350 day Temporary
My Client, a global Fund Management company are looking to expand their Compliance division and recruit an experienced Compliance Analyst within their Guideline Monitoring team.
This successful Fund Management house operates under a multi-boutique structure, and is made up of a series of investment capabilities ranging across a variety of asset classes. They are independent of any broader financial services group. They can invest funds on behalf of a number of different organisations, including pension funds, insurance companies, government entities and financial institutions, as well as charities and endowments.
The Compliance teams cover areas including giving advice on the application and interpretation of the FSA Rules, Anti-Money Laundering surveillance, monitoring adherence to investment restrictions contained in client agreements, reputation risk matters and developing and implementing Compliance Monitoring Programmes
This Compliance Analyst role will be responsible for guideline monitoring and coding into the Sentinel system.
The duties for the role of Compliance Analyst will include
-Analyse and interpret rules.
-Determine appropriate restriction structure and data attribute requirement for appropriate monitoring.
-Liaison with, and gain agreement of interpretation from appropriate areas (Channel, Portfolio Managers, Global Compliance, Legal etc).
-Codify rule into guideline system.
-Identify risks/issues with any guideline or system functionality.
-Test and ensure appropriate coding and system functionality within guideline system.
-Determine suitable guideline monitoring processes for guidelines that cannot be automated.
-Develop or assist in the development of non automated guideline monitoring programmes.
This Compliance Analyst role requires the ideal candidate to have suitable experience of Sentinel and a proven working background of Compliance Monitoring using Sentinel.
The role of Compliance Analyst will require the suitable candidate to have the ability to operate effectively with business and technology, be a clear and open communicator, be able to build confidence and trust, and possess the ability to communicate difficult functional issues. Ideally you will be a self starter with a proactive approach, have strong analytical skills and finally have the ability to operate in a diverse team consisting of permanent employees, delivery partners and contractors.
