• KYC Review Officer

• City of London £18.00 - £22.00 p/hr Temporary

My Client has a Global Brand and now it's Bank is about to undertake a review of their client accounts and therefore looking to hire an KYC Officer to assist in this remediation project. The accounts themselves will be Corporate in nature and diverse in make-up and structure.
The role of an KYC Officer will have the following duties:

- Assisting in rolling client review programme to ensure client files are up-to-date
- Liaising with Operations department regarding client set-up in data systems
- Assisting in money laundering monitoring
- Assisting with administrative tasks - filing, client correspondence etc
- Approving new client relationships in all parts of the business
- Assisting the business to obtain information and documentation required to meet legal and regulatory money laundering identification obligations.

The role of the KYC Officer will require the following qualities to complete this work within a team environment:

- A Compliance/Legal background.
- Good knowledge of KYC/AML practices and JMLSG guidance.
- An understanding of complex Corporate Structures is desirable,
- Previous experience in corporate account opening in a Private Banking environment.
- Project experienced.
- The ability to work unsupervised on issues such as directorships, shareholdings and beneficial ownership of companies.
- Liaison with other team members/ Compliance and Relationship Managers will be necessary.
- Confident, analytical, and with an enquiring mind.
- Good PC skills with some report writing experience.
- Motivated and focussed on achieving targets within a time scales.
