• City of London £24.00 - £25.00 p/hr Temporary

A leading custodian, who specialises in providing asset servicing solutions and asset management to both institutional and personal clients, requires a Financial Analyst to work within their Financial Control & Reporting team.

As part of team of 10 people who are responsible for maintaining the accounting records of the UK entities; preparation of monthly accounts and financial statements; and general control activities.


You will be a pivotal member responsible for:

Managing the monthly service charge process;
Maintaining and improving cost allocation methodology
Reporting cost allocation to senior management.
Process monthly accruals for temporary workers and handle queries
Liaise with HR to clear payroll-related balance sheet outstanding transactions
Manage redundancy accrual and analysis
Manage expatriate employee costs
Monthly analysis of payroll expenses (salaries, incentives, pension, taxes etc).
Process and analyse service losses;
Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation
Assist legal entity controller with preparation of Account Ownership reporting and documentation
Assist legal entity controllers with month-end responsibilities and other control activities

You will ideally have:

Accounting degree with 2 years experience in a finance team, including preparation of reconciliations and resolving differences, and passing journals
Payroll accounting and/or transfer pricing experience a bonus
Peoplesoft/Hyperion and IFRS implementation projects Access skills would be a bonus
