We have been asked to help one of London's largest investment banks secure the services of a multi-talented Senior Project Manager to join their expanding operations team.

This Project Manager will help manage a number of key initiatives for the equity derivatives business globally across trading , Middle Office, Operations and Finance and will also manage one or more other project managers, responsible for project oversight and the individuals personal development.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

*Build business case & co-ordinate impact & feasibility study at project inception.
*Assemble project team, assigning individual responsibilities & co-ordinating activities.
*Run steering groups and working groups as required.
*Develop project schedule & milestones.
*Manage & report on progress against plan & budget utilisation.
*Identify & manage project risks & issues.
*Manage acceptance testing in line with testing strategy.
*Co-ordinate project implementation.
*Conduct post-implementation reviews in order to draw out lessons learnt & ensure benefit realisation
*Participate in the continuous improvement of the businesses processes & quality standards for projects.

The successful applicant must have a proven track record of delivering complex projects to plan and on budget and ability to run several projects concurrently. You will also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and have the ability to lead teams. A strong operations background including thorough derivatives and securities product knowledge will be essential. Previous people management experience will be strongly preferred as will a project focused professional qualification, ideally Prince 2.
