• Equity Valuations Senior Manager

• City of London £60,000 - £70,000 p/a Permanent

An opportunity has arisen to join this leading Investment Bank. The role is within the Valuation Review Group (VRG) and more specifically within the Equity Derivatives team.

Key Responsibilities include:

*Performance and management of components of the monthly vanilla and exotics mark review to ensure that positions are marked correctly in the firm's books and records.
*Interaction with representatives of the Business Unit.
*Help with enhancements and documentation of marking/valuation adjustment methodologies.
*Global calibration, submission and monthly reporting of Totem results.
*Liaison with the other VRG and MRG teams regarding specific valuation issues
*Testing of mark review systems as Front Office valuation and infrastructure systems undergo significant changes.
*Project work as required on new systems and functionality enhancements.
*Challenging processes and procedures to improve efficiency. A key responsibility will be to identify and develop 'best practices' and propose how they can be extended into other areas.

To be considered for this role, the candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with demonstrable mathematical ability, able to add value within a short period of time. Ideally the candidate should have a degree in a science, mathematical or engineering discipline and will certainly bring equity derivatives product control/price testing experience from investment banking.
