• Financial Accounting Supervisor

• City of London £55,000 - £60,000 p/a Permanent

This renowned Investment Management firm is looking for an experienced Financial Accounting Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting of over £7 billion of investments.

Key responsibilities include:
*Being the key point of contact for both internal and external parties in relation to the financial management of the groups funds
*Undertaking a major review and restructure of the existing reporting processes to improve the robustness of procedures and controls
*Co-ordinating the preparation and audit of statutory accounts
*Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for external clients
*Liaising with Fund and Asset Managers to understand the underlying transactions and ensure appropriate financial operation of the funds
*Overseeing the preparation of VAT returns
*Ensuring processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
*Assisting Senior Management on projects relating to the funds
*Managing and motivating a small team

To be considered for this role, you must be ACA qualified with extensive technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. In addition you will have experience of financial & statutory accounting, taxation and VAT together with strong communication skills.
