Our client a leading financial services firm is seeking an operational assurance assistant vice president to join their operational assurance team. Working in a team of 5 the purpose of this role is to provide operational risk management and assurance to the operational teams through the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk on all operating platforms and locations. You will also be responsible for risk event management, business change agenda, operational control reviews/improvements and new product sign offs. You will provide assurance on critical business processes through designing and monitoring the operation of key controls, as well as audit management and risk advice and support.

You will ideally have a graduate degree or equivalent preferably a qualified or part qualified accountant with a strong track record in risk and control with experience of implementing risk and control techniques such as risk assessment and risk management ideally gained in asset management, wealth management, investment banking or broader financial services environments.
Experience in Six Sigma, FMEA and/or Lean Approach is essential. You must have strong attention to detail with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
