A Senior Project Manager for Derivatives is sought by a prestigious financial intermediary. The role is based in London.

The overall objective of this position is to deliver one or more large or complex projects, ensuring that the project produces the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. In addition, to ensure that the project produces a result that is capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case.

Your responsibilities, as a successful project manager will be to successfully manage and deliver projects. You will ensure the project board and any other interested parties are informed of project progress as detailed in the project communication plan. You will ensure that risks are identified, recorded and regularly reviewed and plans modified to include agreed actions to avoid or reduce the impact. You will also ensure escalation of risks that could result in tolerance being exceeded which include time, costs, scope, quality and benefit.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, such as PRINCE2, combined with experience of project management in the finance industry of which some must have been as project manager or proven ability of working at a project manager level without supervision and handling multiple projects. Line management/supervisory experience is required.
