A fantastic opportunity for a SOX Analyst has arisen in a leading global financial services provider.
Reporting directly into the supervisor of Sarbanes-Oxley you will be responsible for assisting with updating narratives, perform walkthroughs and testing during the quarters and assisting processes owners on ways to improve their processes.


Key Responsibilities include
*Assist with the analysis and review of key internal control procedures, risk and control matrices, and test plans, i.e., documentation, gap analysis, walkthroughs, and testing in both the UK
*Be able to interview process owners to update SOX Documentation
*Ensure that key controls identified in the narratives agree with control matrices and test plans
*Quarterly notification to process owners in UK to update narratives; follow-up with process owners and escalate any issues to the Director
*Knowledge of rolling out spreadsheet controls for key finance excel spreadsheets
*Keep up-to-date with SEC, PCAOB and FASB pronouncements through seminars, professional journals, etc
*Maintain the SOX documentation binders
*Assist the Director of Sarbanes-Oxley or Supervisor as appropriate
*Work on special SOX-related projects as directed by the Director or Supervisor


The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years experience within a SOX environment, knowledge of US & UK GAAP, displays focus under pressure, flexible along with excellent communication skills
