• Deputy Group Financial Controller, London

An excellent Deputy Group Financial Controller is required by this leading Commodities Trading House. Reporting directly to Group Financial Controller and managing a team of 3, you will

* Provide support for Group Financial Controller
* Co-ordinate monthly consolidations and reporting
* Prepare year-end group financial statements
* Assist in management of group accounts department
* Annual full consolidated accounts under Dutch GAAP (close to IAS), including supporting notes for distribution to c400 banks and counterparties
* Quarterly balance sheet and income statement - for distribution to banks
* Monthly reporting for other internal departments and directors
* Ensure annual accounts filed for various UK and offshore companies.


The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of performing complex multi-national group consolidations, knowledge of oil industry and derivatives with exposure to a trading environment and the ability to write, document and test robust Excel macros as well as excellent communication skills to build relationships with these key areas, The Board of Directors, Divisional/department managers, Treasury department, Group Tax and Group VAT departments
