• European Financial Controller

Looking for a new challenge? If so, this brokerage firm will help you take your career to the next level while you realize your true potential. They are now seeking an enthusiastic European Financial Controller who will be a key manager of the UK Finance team of 25 people.

The European Controller is responsible for the following:
*Coordinate and control the production of financial accounts including liaison with auditors and other key stakeholders both internally (up to board level) and externally
*Supervise, manage and motivate the above teams, recruiting new members of the team as appropriate
*Manage full compliance with prevailing regulatory reporting requirements
*Develop reporting processes and controls to deliver reporting in a very timely manner
*Implement local UK GAAP accounting for all entities for management accounting and US GAAP numbers for parental reporting
*Oversee all routine daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
*Manage the audit process with the various interested parties (internal, SOX and external)

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA) with previous experience of statutory accounts production using UK/US GAAP in a brokerage environment or small bank, practical accounting and reconciliations skills, managerial background managing medium to large size teams as well as strong understanding and experience of IT projects.
