Position: Medical Underwriter - Glasgow
Salary: £24,000 - £40,000

Our Client, a Large Life Company, currently seeks an Underwriter for their team in Glasgow.

Duties for the role of Medical Underwriter will include:

Assess the risk of all applications and alterations
Consult with senior colleagues, Chief Medical Officer, the Reassurers and/or Actuarial where additional advice of guidance is required
To develop Underwriting Capacity and Expertise
To provide information and support to Operations Department and Retail Channels on Underwriting matters
Assist line manager on ad hoc tasks undertaken within the Underwriting area

The successful candidate for the role of Medical Underwriter will have:

Strong medical underwriting experience. Ideally working towards DMU and/or ACII
Proven experience with decision making, negotiating and influencing
Analytical problem solving skills

This is an exciting opportunity which offers a Salary between £24-£40,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits.
