This excellent opportunity has arisen within the commercial banking arm of this highly respected financial services group. The core responsibility of an audit manager is to plan, execute and manage assignments in accordance with the Group Audit Plan and relevant policies, procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities include
* Manage audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified
and appropriately assessed.
* Provide guidance to Audit Seniors during audit assignments.
* Review and complete documentation of scoping, process understanding, risk &
control identification and control evaluation.
* Manage audit teams on a day to day basis, working to ensure that audits progress as planned,
as regards scope, budget and timetable.
* Build relationships with auditees and business management on each audit and develop
ongoing relationships with key stakeholders in aligned business area.
* Continue to update awareness of risk issues and changes across relevant business units and
use this knowledge to amend audit approach where necessary.
* Manage audits to ensure that workpapers are concise, accurate, reflective of work performed and support conclusions drawn.


The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level with knowledge of the financial services industry, experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activities, along with experience of managing a team.
