This Leading Investment Bank based in the city seeks a UK Sarbanes - Oxley Co-ordinator for UK Services Operations
Description of Role:
Work with Investment and Commercial Banking Operations Managers on SOXA Processes to ensure:
* Control owners have appropriately worded controls
* Control suite is being appropriately maintained and evidenced
* Sign off and report on the status of their SOXA controls under Section 404
The incumbent must also have the ability to deliver against the banks operational objectives in the area of people, service quality, value and operational risk and control.
Pre-requistites:
The incumbent must have understanding of the transaction life-cycles for the suite of products serviced by UK Operations and their impact on the sub-ledger accounts reconciled by Operations. Ideally, the incumbent will have some SOXA exposure as a controls manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensures control suite is maintained and updated with changes to processes and applications
* Co-ordinates Audit, internal and external, testing
* Supports UK Services Operations in relation to internal/ external Audit engagements including pre-audit review activities and the monitoring to resolution of open Audit comments relating to SOXA control activities
* Monitors and assists the Business implementation and delivery of remediation plans in a timely manner for any ineffective controls
* Performs Management Self Assessments for any ineffective controls once remediated
* Co-ordinates general queries arising from Management, Audit and Operations personnel
* Maintains reporting and MI and communicates results to relevant stakeholders
* Participates in meetings and conference calls with relevant support contacts and other stakeholders
* Co-ordinates the section 404 attestation with Process Owners including risk classification of any outstanding control gaps
