• Commodities Compliance Surveillance Analyst

• City of London £20.00 - £25.00 p/hr Temporary

As a Compliance Surveillance Analyst working within the commodities team at this well known US bank you will primarily be responsible for carrying out the surveillance processes for the EMEA business. The role will also provide exposure to the equities and fixed income businesses of the bank.

In addition to running the surveillance system you will also be required to assist with identifying and implementing enhancements to the system.

It is therefore likely that to be considered for the position of Compliance Surveillance Analyst you will have the following attributes:

-Prior exposure to commodities preferably within a support function (e.g. compliance, finance, operations, trade support) of a trading environment (e.g. investment bank, exchange).

-A good understanding of regulatory surveillance requirements

-Be a strong Microsoft Access/Excel user. Some exposure to working with algorithms and understanding of standard deviations would be beneficial

-A professional approach with a clear and logical thought process. Ideally you will be curious and able to challenge data output so as to be able to make report performance more efficient

-Good communication skills; tenacious whilst diplomatic

-Motivated and reliable; demonstrate an ability to go about day-to-day responsibilities methodically; able to meet regular deadlines
