• Product Controller - London

• City of London £30,000 - £40,000 p/a Permanent

Our client offers a broad range of investment banking and securities products and services to meet the needs of institutional clients, companies and government bodies. With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale, they are now seeking a Product Controller.
The UK based department is responsible for the audit of all Group activities in the UK and for the audit of many expanding European, Middle Eastern and African businesses.

The key responsibilities for the Product Controller include:
- P&L Production, Validation, Analysis and Commentary
- Price Testing review and appropriateness of market data used
- Front-to-Back Reconciliations
- Structured Trade Reviews on complex transactions
- Fair Value Disclosures and General Ledger Reconciliation
- Assessing and implementing changes in relevant accounting and regulatory standards as they relate to the business
- New business/product approval and implementation
- Process and system enhancements - working with IT and the business
- Participation in pricing model and valuation methodology approval workgroups
- Author, monitor and maintain relevant policies

The ideal candidate should be part qualified and have previous Product Control experience within a derivative product line with an understanding of Life insurance products or structured credit products.
