This leading Investment Bank based in the city seeks a qualified Financial Controller.
Duties
Daily work will involve identifying high risk collateral and performing the IPV on these assets. Additionally, continuous improvement and set up of new processes in order to increase coverage and decrease the bank's overall risk from mispricing of collateral will be required.
Key Responsibilities:

? To perform the valuation of a variety of asset classes held as collateral to financing trades in London, Frankfurt and New York based on independent data sources and bank models
? Identify deficiencies in supplied independent data and check the marks received
? Interaction with other teams performing IPV to understand and apply model based solutions to value certain hard-to-price trades
? Extend the coverage of the Collateral IPV by the location of additional high quality data sources
? Ability to prioritise work based on a watch list of high risk collateral and external market developments that may increase the risk on collateral held by certain counterparties
? Identify and communicate possible marking issues to risk and management on a timely and informed basis
? To liaise with Collateral Management to inform them of mismarked collateral that will affect margin calls
? Assist in developing a robust and efficient process surrounding the daily valuation of collateral
Flexible
* 1 to 2 years experience with BUC / Product Control Processes in a banking environment or similar
* Product experience with the valuation - interest rate derivatives, asset, mortgage backed securities, credit derivatives, structured products
* Prioritise work and meet deadlines and work in pressurised team environments
* Confident and self motivated
* Good interpersonal skills / team player / attention to detail
* Willing to throw themselves into the deep end
