An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Tax Assistant to join a prestigious accountancy practice who has an excellent reputation for offering candidates superb training and development and a diverse client base.

As a Tax Assistant you prepare accurate basic tax returns for individuals and partnerships, and understands the entries. Basic tax returns will include investment income and bank interest, employment income and benefits in kind, pension income, pension contributions, and gift aid donations. It will be your responsibility to complete tax returns within the time frames agreed.

Specific duties will include:
-Deals with basic queries from clients, colleagues and HMRC.
-Prepares a basic income tax computation and work out the basis of assessment.
-Transfers profit shares correctly to partners.
-Correctly deal with personal allowances.
-Correctly deals with employment income, benefits in kind and employment expenses.
-Enters simple disposals for Capital Gains Tax purposes on to the return, and has a basic awareness of CGT and the applicable tax rates.
-Calculates and deal with Tax Credits on the annual review form.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity you should be an experienced Tax Assistant who has strong numerical and analytical skills. You should have advanced MS office skills particularly Excel and experience of Pertax would be advantageous.
