• Financial Controller - London

• City of London £47,000 - £50,000 p/a Permanent

Our client is the largest single investor in the region and mobilises significant foreign direct investment beyond its own financing. It is owned by 60 countries and two intergovernmental institutions. But despite its public sector shareholders, it invests mainly in private enterprises, usually together with commercial partners; they are now seeking a Financial Controller.

The key responsibilities for the Financial Controller include:
- Interpret legal agreements, liaising with key internal departments on policy issues and interpretation relating to Banking cost recovery
- Supervise the entering & maintaining of the cost recovery rules in SAP ensuring validity of items being recovered
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc Cost Recovery training to the Banking Budget Officers
- Monitor the bank reconciliation for items relating to Accounts Control and ensure they are cleared in a timely & accurate manner
- Report any aged outstanding payments to management on a monthly basis
- Post parked reclassification/recharge documents created Bank-wide into SAP
- Maintain relationship with external debt collection agency
- Liaise with IT on any small enhancements to the SAP system
- Responsible for setting and monitoring team and individual objectives and carrying out of regular formal appraisal

The ideal candidate should have previous management experience, excellent accounts payable and receivable experience and be educated to degree level or equivalent.
