• Finance Accounts Assistant - London

• City of London £25,000 p/a Permanent

Our client, a leading International Bank in the City, is seeking an ambitious accounts assistant to join their Finance team.

They key responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant include:
- Maintaining and enhancing financial control over the assets and liabilities of the Bank
- Carry out daily/periodic reconciliation of the bank nostro, custodian & suspense accounts
- Process regulatory reporting (FSA & BOE) with the assistance of the Finance Manager
- Analysis of monthly accounting movements
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Maintain accounting records for SPVs and other subsidiaries and filing of returns, including Tax
Provide cover for P&L reporting and controls
- Process Bahrain office transactions in London accounting records
- Process routine journal entries on a daily basis
- Process credit card and non-executive Directors expense claims into the systems;
- Maintain GBP and foreign currency petty cash floats
- Filing and other duties to ensure orderly maintenance and functioning of the Finance division
- Other work as may be requested by management to support the Bank as appropriate from time to time

Our client is seeking a part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) who has just commenced their studies and holds a strong academic record.
