Working in a small team of surveillance and risk analysts you will report in to the central compliance team at the UK head office of this leading global banking organisation. The firm's business groups span corporate and investment banking, private wealth and asset management and they employee 97,000 people in 74 countries. You will truly be at the forefront of the banking industry.

This opportunity is to cover the maternity of an existing team member and will involve:

-Compliance Risk-based in depth reviews of specific business/operations processes
-Compliance Risk-based themed reviews of specific compliance topics
-Researching and responding to FSA and other regulatory enquiries
-Researching and responding to internal enquiries relating to potential compliance risks identified by advisory compliance officers
-Electronic surveillance of transactions, utilising exception based reports derived from Front and Back Office systems
-Assist in testing external monitoring systems

To be considered for the role of Monitoring, Surveillance and Investigations Analyst you must have some prior relevant experience within banking and an understanding of compliance risks. Priority will be given to individuals who have carried out a similar role in another bank.

You will also ideally be educated to degree standard and possess the following personal attributes:

-Resilient, determined and hardworking, not afraid to work long hours if necessary
