Our client, a huge financial services provider currently seek a Head of Internal Audit to work in their London office, reporting to the Head of Europe Audit.

The Audit department provides Management and the Board with independent objective assurance and advice regarding the design and operation of the Group's overall control framework (risk management, control and governance).

The role
To manage the department and to participate in the larger more complex audits. This mainly involves
- Relationship Management
- Resource Management, including budgeting and planning.
- Cost centre owner/budget holder for the department
- Management of team (appraisals, hiring etc)
- Develop and contribute to the vision of the provision of audit services.
- Manage the department and ensure aligned with ARG objectives.
- Coordinate client expectations, the audit services and developments within the Branch.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulators.


The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with knowledge of banking products and the operational framework, extensive audit and account management experience, as well as knowledge and experience of SOX. You must have strong financial product experience, preferably structured products, and excellent communication skills and posses previous managerial experience.
