  • Asset Servicing Dividends Clerk - London

  • City of London Competitive Permanent
  • Benefits: Competitive

An Asset Servicing Dividends Clerk is required for a leading international investment bank. The role is based in London.

The function will comprise a dividend/tax specialist and a corporate action specialist (supervisor level) who will report into a line manager. Each specialist will be required to provide cover during staff absence and absorb additional work during peak dividend and corporate action season. It is therefore beneficial for candidates to have a good understanding of other elements of asset servicing besides their specific area of expertise.

The successful dividends clerk will have responsibility for producing daily reporting for the bank's front office (i.e. ex date reporting, short balance reporting etc.) As well as the responsibility for resolving all P&L reconciliation breaks arising from dividend entitlement postings to internal cash ledger and trading systems.

We expect the candidate to demonstrate solid experience gained within an investment banking background. This should include much experience of dividends and manufactured dividends. Experience of tax rates, treaty rates and tax refunds is also necessary.
