A Valuation Specialist is required for a global-leading investment bank. The role is based in London.

The Valuation Group aims to provide timely, accurate and independent client valuations for exotic structures across all asset classes (FX, credit, OTC derivatives, equity, inflation, commodities, etc.). It forms part of Global Valuations within Transaction Management.

The successful applicant would work in the credit team covering a wide range of trades types (rates/credit) using a large range of models to perform trades valuations. The applicant would bring a good understanding of these products and an appreciation of the process involved in pricing them in order to improve the valuation group's capabilities within these areas.

The primary responsibility is to participate in rates or credit trades valuations: this involves building new models, liaising with front office to confirm prices and understand the trade, and running the production. The candidate will need enough technical background to understand and run models to be able to answer client queries or justify prices moves.

We are looking for very motivated candidates with either a solid mathematical background or a strong trades knowledge (preferably both). Previous experience in a valuation environment is highly beneficial.
