Operational Risk Manager
£18.00 - £20.00 Per Hour

This new leading force in global multi-asset brokerage business requires a dedicated Operational Risk Manager.

As an accomplished Operational Risk Manager you will encompasses a wide-ranging number of tasks and skills.

Specific duties will include:

*Close involvement in the enhancement and implementation of controls/procedures required under Basle II. This involves the Team's participation in the development of processes across the Group
*Assessment of Operational Risks throughout the Firm UK on an on-going basis
*Working with management of other departments in setting controls and establishing key risk indicators
*The Team is responsible for the Permanent Supervision system - coordinating with other Departments, attending meetings, ensuring follow up on issues and liaison with Head Office
*The Team is responsible for the collation and reporting of operational losses. This will encompass the analysis of the information and liaison with the Group function
*Assessment of the operational risk management reporting provided to senior management, to ensure that this provides the appropriate information
*Ensuring that the appropriate new policies, procedures and controls are devised and implemented following any lessons learnt from operational losses.
*The Team is an active member of the local New Product Committee, reviewing all proposed New Products Files to check if operational risks have been properly identified and mitigated.
*Helping to identify which business developments should be considered as New Products and processed accordingly.
*Business Continuity.
* You will be closely involved with the continuing maintenance and development of the Business Continuity plans for the company.

You will have previous experience of working in a control environment with internal audit or operational risk management. Ideally you will have had exposure to the derivatives / futures and options markets or other sectors (e.g. equities, commodities, FX, fixed income, prime brokerage) giving you the ability to understand the Investment bank risk related business.
