This renowned international brokerage firm is looking for an enthusiastic Financial Accountant who will be responsible for financial control and reporting, International and subsidiaries. Our client is active in the global fixed income, rates, foreign exchange, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, futures and structured product markets, offering a full range of brokerage services.

The key responsibilities for the Financial Accountant include:
- Submission of month end reports to Head Office in New York in a controlled and timely manner.
- Liaising with Head Office to follow up issues arising from monthly reporting, ie US/UK GAAP adjustments and disclosures.
- Responsible for balance sheet substantiation for legal entities within BGCI group.
- Responsible for collation and consolidation of subsidiary entities.
- Liaising with subsidiary entity controllers to ensure correct and consistent accounting throughout the group and agreement of reporting timetable.
- Review and monitoring of processes creating entries affecting entities under control, ie cost allocations, accruals.
- Support Head of Financial Control on ad-hoc reporting issues, eg accounting policy, queries from Head Office, new acquisitions etc.
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP. Audit Liaison point.
- Responsible for ensuring sound financial control in place.
- Interaction with other finance areas to ensure consistent and accurate reporting, e.g. Regulatory and Management Reporting

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant with strong financial accounting experience and strong understanding of revenues and accruals.
