A Client Relationship Manager is sought by one of the world's largest fund managers, who offers funds focusing on active, index and asset allocation strategies, liability driven investment, currency strategies, cash management, securities lending, hedging strategies, transitions and commodities trading.


Key responsibilities for the client relationship manager will focus on:

- Written and verbal responses to clients' and consultants' day-to-day enquiries

- Writing and collation of client quarterly and annual reports including performance reporting

- Responsibility for providing data on clients internally and externally

- Ensuring information within the firm's databases is up to date

- Seeking resolution of a variety of issues (overdrafts, failures to transfer money/invest/disinvest, billing issues etc.)


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate very strong team working practices, initiative and an ability to prioritise workload to ensure the client relationship manager's function effectively as a team supporting a large number of clients. The candidate needs to be articulate and able to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and a wide variety of internal departments.


The role requires a solid grounding in risk management as it relates to minimising the risk of operating errors. The candidate will need to demonstrate a good knowledge of a broad range of investment products and their application for institutional investors, particularly UK pension schemes. Knowledge of LDIs and understanding of transitions would be a distinct advantage.
