• Portfolio Manager Fixed Income - London

• City of London £80,000 - £90,000 p/a Contract

An exciting position within the wealth management unit of a global banking group exists for an experienced Fixed Income fund manager. As part of a global PM team, this role is based in London where the team of 5 PMs and support staff have responsibility for over £3.3bn in discretionary assets. The role will allow you to take an active part in investment decision making forums to ensure the core portfolios generate strong risk adjusted returns, meeting clients' expectations. You will also be dealing with relationship manager and client queries, liaising with various areas such as the Research, Product Development, Operations teams as well as the relationship managers and clients. The role holder should demonstrate a commercial awareness and results in a previous role, within an investment management or wealth management organisation and demonstrate a good team work ethic. Targets are stretching so flexibility and a strong sales aptitude is sought-after. You will be able to demonstrate in previous positions adherence to external and internal regulatory framework, and an appreciation of risk control procedures for management of portfolios within business risk and control framework. You must be able to demonstrate a full grasp of all investment asset classes and be able to employ them in portfolio construction optimally, within agreed parameters, restrictions and tax framework.
