This renowned international Bank are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Risk Underwriter who will be responsible for regional oversight of Loan Underwriting Risk, Specialised Risk types together with the exercise of credit authority in respect of specific transactions/within Credit Committees. Our client offer in-depth corporate banking expertise, a broad portfolio of innovative banking products, financial strength and stability, and international reach.

The key responsibilities include:
- Approval of Underwriting Risk both within delegated authorities and in conjunction with Committee authorities for this risk type
- An independent view of market appetite and liquidity in respect of Loan Underwriting and distribution
- Oversight of MI covering deal pipeline, market exposure and unsold positions
- Detailed understanding of advanced Credit Risk assessment with the overall objective of mitigating credit risk, whilst supporting business growth. High level understanding of market risk management concepts and their linkage to credit risk across traded and structured credit businesses.
- Active involvement in the credit sanctioning process.
- Exercise of sound judgement under delegated authority. A sample of cases reviewed with the Head of Underwriting & Transactions on a regular basis to ensure this is being operated diligently.
- In addition to Underwriting Risk, oversight and management of processes to identify, assess, approve and monitor specialised risks relating to Equity Risk and Country Risk.

The ideal candidate should have Credit Risk Management and Control processes appropriate to a financial services organisation experience and be educated to a degree level.
