A global asset management company based in the City are looking for a Transitions Specialist to join the organisation. It has one of the largest networks of offices of any dedicated asset management company and over 250 portfolio managers and analysts covering the world's investment markets. A FTSE 100 company, that has an excellent reputation both in the UK and abroad.

Working on the Transitions Team with specific responsibility for co-ordinating UK and International client transitions. Transitions include new / lost clients, in species, share exchanges, restructurings and custody changes. The candidate will be responsible for liaising with a number of third parties both internal and external, to ensure that the transition event is completed effectively. The candidate may also be asked to work on ad hoc project work.

As the Transitions Specialist you will be responsible for;

-Ensuring that all trades are placed on the appropriate trade date taking into account bank holidays and differences in the world's time zones
-Trading pooled vehicles, arranging matches were ever possible
-Making cash payments
-Arranging for the appropriate paperwork associated with a particular transition to be completed (including Inland Revenue approval, tax/money laundering documentation, internal systems setup/amendment forms, side letters etc)
-Instructing third parties
-Monitoring FX, Corporate Actions, Cash Flow, Trades booked are as expected


Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience working within transitions in financial services, with good knowledge of how the different departments in an asset management company operate. You should understand the difference between asset classes and various markets.
