A Compliance Analyst is required for the group compliance business unit of one of the largest and most prestigious energy distribution companies in the world. The firm's business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy, on a truly global scale.

The role of ethical group compliance is to promote and protect the firm's reputation by building capacity for ethical behaviour and its capability to comply with externally defined laws and regulations, the code of conduct and related group standards.

The compliance analyst will specialise in a particular business unit and the role is responsible for working with the reviews and monitoring manager to implement an effective and consistent compliance monitoring programme for their respective business units. The analyst will be responsible for thematic project work and for the contribution to and development of surveillance reporting processes. The role is to administer the compliance monitoring program to detect, and respond to, trade anomalies or other non-compliant behaviour.

A proven track record against the core competencies of the firm is a requirement for the role. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of traded products, markets and strategies and both physical and paper based trading.
