• Project - Technical Accountant

• City of London £40.00 - £45.00 p/hr Temporary

This leading Custodian based in Canary Wharf seeks a qualified Accountant with a Product background ideally in Treasury.
The candidate will be working closely with the Project Manager on various integration projects including migrating clients from GSP to CMS
* Focus on balance sheet and client cash balances and to document and understand the process and to communicate to all parties involved
* Within this project based role we are looking for a business analyst who has had full project lifecycle experience, with good knowledge of banking products especially within Treasury
* Performing & co-ordinating migration testing
* Monitoring and reporting of project progress to the project board and interested/impacted parties
* The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills, be proactive, results orientated and a fast learner.
* Forward Planning. Ability to think / plan ahead and anticipate obstacles
* Production of formalised plans and schedules with the ability to manage resources effectively
* Ensure targets are set and ultimately achieved

Qualified Accountant
* Strong treasury / banking experience
* A strong analytical mind
* Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate at all level and develop working relationships with key personnel
* Pro-active team player able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
* Some-one who can manage their time well and take ownership and responsibility for problem solving and analysis on a daily basis.
* Ability to manage a number of small / medium projects to tight deadlines
* Very good knowledge of banking products
* Previous experience of project management of projects that involve system migrations
* Comfortable use of Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience in one or more of the following accounting systems would be useful but not necessary: PeopleSoft, Oracle, Business Objects, Cash Management System
* Basic use of Microsoft Access and Project.
