Our client offers a broad range of investment banking and securities products and services to meet the needs of institutional clients, companies and government bodies. With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale; they are now seeking a Corporate Credit Officer.
The UK based department is responsible for the audit of all Group activities in the UK and for the audit of many expanding European, Middle Eastern and African businesses.

The key responsibilities for the Corporate Credit Officer include:
Perform credit risk analysis and assign credit ratings to a portfolio of Corporate counterparties in Emerging Markets of the European time zone.
- Monitor market, macro-economic and political developments, assess their impact on credit quality of counterparties.
- Perform risk assessment of proposed transaction to be completed with counterparties in the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the level of credit exposure to counterparties in the portfolio as well as relevant legal documentation.
- Make credit risk decisions within assigned credit authority.
- Work closely with front office business units and other support areas (e.g. RMM and LCD) in the creation of client solutions, as required.

The ideal candidate should have Strong Credit Risk management experience at a major investment or global commercial bank with recent experience of emerging markets. Essentially with relevant university degree or finance related second degree, MBA or professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, or ACCA.
